Introducing "Hero and a Half"

What is the Basic Premise of the Story?

"Hero and a Half" is a novel about a Superhero named Seraph. The story starts off with a prophesy of a fallen star purifing a great power and passing it on to a innocent child that will save the world. The main character Everett is a young boy who gains the ability to control fire and heat. Although he has this power, fire is his greatest fear because it took the life of his father. It is his humility through fear of such a great power that gives him his greatest strength.

His mother, a true hero, shows him how to cope with life struggles and shows him how to have the strength and courage to deal with life's hardships. It is called "Hero and a Half" because the book really isn't about the superhero, but it is about his heroes and how they helped him become the one that he is. It is the remembrance of those heroes that places the book in context as he recounts what they taught him. They are his heroes, the everyday people that surround him, love him, and inspire him to be someone great. Each person gives him a specific trait that will effect how he is to defeat the Evil Stonehart, and ultimately protect the earth.

His Motto: Every great person was first inspired by someone great, I hope to be half the hero mine are to me.

Over time I will be developing the story, changing the story, gaining feedback from anyone who might want to leave it. I will start by introducing the Characters. Let me know what you think. Over time I would like to publish the book and see where it will go from there.
